The journey will take you through the capital of India to the city of Taj Mahal and then to the princely state of Rajasthan. Other then the geographical diversity, you will also witness the cultural diversity of this piece of Land. The journey will be done on a comfortable 4×4 SUV which will enhance your driving experience. The itinerary is suitable for those adventure enthusiasts who want to explore a new place by themselves.
Day 01 Arrive Delhi On arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, our representative will meet you to pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi. Overnight at Hotel Day 02 City Tour of Delhi This morning after breakfast you will be handed over the car to you. Your guide will meet you at the hotel and you can start your sightseeing. First you will visit old Delhi. The Raj Ghat, Red fort & Jama Masjid are important places to visit, you may also visit Chandni Chowk, spice market etc. Later on proceed to visit the New Delhi. The Qutub Minar, tallest stone tower in India, imposing India Gate and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Lotus Temple and, newly built Akshardham temple are of much significance. By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay. Overnight at Hotel Day 03 Drive to Agra, (220 kms, 4.5 hrs) After a leisurely breakfast you will start your drive for Agra. On arrival check in to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour of Agra city – visiting Agra Fort- an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the sunset visit to incomparable Taj Mahal- a symbol of Immortal love. Overnight at Hotel Day 04 Drive to Jaipur, (240 Kms, 5 hrs) After breakfast, start your drive to Jaipur. Jaipur is the most vibrant and historic city, a marvellous synthesis of architectural influences – Hindu and Mughal. The bazaars teem with locals, animal carts and lots of vehicles, and around them some magnificent palaces and heritage buildings in the glory of a rich and eventful past. The sandstone buildings of the city were originally in a variety of colours but were painted pink, a traditional colour of welcome, for the visit of Prince Albert in 1853 and retain their colour today. Evening walk through the colourful and vibrant atmosphere of local market Overnight at Hotel Day 05 City Tour of Jaipur After breakfast, you will be taken for Jaipur sightseeing which includes Amber Fort- one of the finest example of Rajput architecture. Hawa Mahal (palace of winds)- through which the queens of the court once viewed streets of the city, City Palace- which houses collections of armory, rare manuscripts, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings belongs to royalties and Jantar Mantar- an Astronomical Observatory built in 1726. Overnight at Hotel Day 06 Drive to Jodhpur (310 kms, 6 Hrs) After breakfast you will drive to Jodhpur also known as the blue city because of its indigo painted houses which are spread around the fort area. On arrival you will check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Day 07 City Tour of Jodhpur Today half-day city tour of Jodhpur including a visit to the Meherangarh Fort- situated on a low sandstone hill overlooking the city, Jaswant Thada- an imposing marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built in 1899 and Umaid Bhawan Palace- a museum and the home of the present Royal family of Jodhpur and the colourful markets. Later you will be taken for the cooking demonstration by an Indian family. Overnight at Hotel Day 08 Drive to Jaisalmer, (280 Kms/5 hrs) This morning you will drive to Jaisalmer famous for its golden coloured sand dunes. It lies in the Thar desert. Overnight at Hotel Day 09 City Tour of Jaiselmer Later in the afternoon take a half-day sightseeing tour of the city including Jaiselmer fort built by Rawal Jaisal built on a 80 m high Trikuta hill. There are some very beautiful Jain temples inside the fort. Visit Badal Vilas Palace – the former ruler’s 20th century palace and visit some impressive merchant mansions (havelis) including Patwon ki Haveli (1805), a five-storey building with carved pillars and murals. In the evening you will experience the Sam sand dunes in the early evening on camel back. By riding these unusual but incredibly important creatures one is able to get a feel of the pace and space of desert life. Overnight at Hotel Day 10 Drive to Jodhpur and fly to Delhi, (300 kms/6 Hrs) After breakfast you will drive back to Jodhpur to board your flight for Delhi. Our representative will take the car hand over from you. On arrival you will be received and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel Day 11 Fly to Delhi to connect International flight You will be transferred to the airport from where you can board your flight to your onward destination Overnight at Hotel
