Spread across 429 kms of land, the reserve was developed during Lord Curzon’s visit in 1908. Covered with dense forest, elephant grass and marshlands, which are dissected by rivers, makes it one of the most appropriate homes for wildlife. It is also an interesting place for bird watchers because of various species of birds available here, which includes migratory birds too. This is one national park, where jungle safari on elephant back is also provided.
